Buratai Storms Sambisa Forest And Orders His Men To Capture BH Leader Shekau Dead Or Alive
The Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai, has again charged troops to capture Abubakar Shekau, the factional leader of the Boko Haram terrorists group, alive or dead.
The charge comes six months after Buratai gave his men a 40-day ultimatum to arrest the Boko Haram leader, “dead or alive”.
Buratai gave the charge at Camp Zairo, the former Command and Control Centre of the terrorists group in the Sambisa forest during an operational visit to troops.
Tukur Yusuf Buratai is a Nigerian Lieutenant general and the current Chief of Army Staff of Nigeria, a position he was appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari in July 2015. He was commissioned in 1983 and has had multiple command, administrative, and instructional appointments.
Abubakar Shekau, also known by the alias Darul Akeem wa Zamunda Tawheed, or Darul Tawheed, thought to be born between 1965 and 1975 is a Kanuri man known as the leader of Boko Haram, a Nigerian militant .
Shekau has been reported dead by the Nigerian military severally and keeps re-appearing in new videos and claiming responsibility for Boko Haram attacks.
