It is not exactly news anymore that one of our favourite actresses Jennifer Aniston and her husband Justin Theroux have split.

Contrary to what fans had hoped for, their marriage turned out not to be “happily ever after”.

On Thursday afternoon, the couple surprised fans when they announced their separation after less than three years of marriage.

“In an effort to reduce any further speculation, we have decided to announce our separation,” the pair’s statement read in part. “This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year. We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship.”

After news surfaced of their relationship in 2011—or one year in the wake of making their movie Wanderlust, Justin who is used to being out of the spotlight, suddenly encountered huge media attention that required significant time getting used to.

From what different sources gathered, the actress couldn’t deal with the paparazzi in New York and was more comfortable retreating back to the privacy of her sprawling Bel Air estate. Theroux however, in addition to loving the edgier crowd and life in New York, didn’t exactly feel comfortable around Jennifer’s friends.

We hear Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux’s busy schedules meant they had to be apart more often, making their problems kinda bigger.
