Bayern were nowhere near their best, but Kovac will be delighted with the victory, which secured their place in the last 16. AEK Athens were outclassed in the second half.

The visitors can be pleased with how they played for much of the first half, but they need to win their two remaining matches to have a chance of finishing third in Group E.
A brace from Lewandowski was enough for Bayern to make it three wins out of four in the Champions League this season. AEK Athens created very little despite some positive moments in the first half and were perhaps lucky to not lose by more.
