#BBNaija: A Summary Of All Excitement in Week 8 Of Season 4

Spread the love

#BBNaija: Week 8 came with loads of exciting drama from the Big Brother Naija Season 4 Housemates.

Just when we think the pepper dem gang have done it all, they drop a shocker. Week 8 was all shades of drama from all the tension during the nominations game, and veto power fever to the tasking head of house challenge, unexpected strikes, the colourful celebration in the house, down to the Wager victory and so many other exciting snippets in the house.

So if you are one of those who missed the drama this week, no worries, we got you covered. Peep the highlights of how it all went down;

The Nomination Game: If you’d recall an earlier announcement about changing the nomination process where housemates had the opportunity to put two housemates up for eviction. Well, the change finally happened, Biggie launched a new task for nomination and it was a tug of war, as no housemate wanted to lose.

After a tiebreaker, the Icons lost to the Cruisetopia team, leaving all its members up for nomination except Sir Dee who was saved with the Veto power of Diane, his supposed ‘sister’. In addition to this, each member of the Cruisetopia team won for themselves 20 Bet9ja coins.

HOH Challenge: No doubts that this show actually helps to display strengths and various talents hidden in the housemates. This week, some housemates were banned from partaking in the HOH challenge and the Veto power challenge. The participants of this challenge were Seyi, Cindy, Gedoni, Venita, Diane, Mercy and Esther. The offenders didn’t get a chance to enjoy the perks of this challenge.

The task to become the Head of House was a game tagged ‘The Impossible Line’. Seyi came out victorious, declaring him HOH for the second time in a row, leaving Cindy as the first runner up. We guess she can be called a queen too.

Veto Power Fever: After the live show on Sunday, Diane won the Veto power game, thereby earning 100 bet9ja coins and 10 bet9ja coins each for her team members as a reward for her win.

After the nomination challenge, Diane the Veto Power holder had to use her power to save a housemate up for eviction and replace with anyone who was not up for possible eviction. With mixed reactions and no hard feelings, she saved Sir Dee who was having a hard time for letting his team down during the challenge and replaced with Joe who was just starting his journey in the house.

Tor Tiv Coronation: Amidst different emotions after the nomination wahala, Biggie asked the housemates to organise a Tor Tiv coronation ceremony for Seyi, courtesy of Heritage Bank. This was first of its kind in the Big Brother house, as housemates adorned themselves in colourful attires as well as the amazingly themed decor.

The ceremony witnessed a performance from the housemates and hat from the acclaimed creative director and dramatist Yibo Koko along with his cultural group. The housemates played beautiful and iconic roles which reflected the traditional rulers and culture across Nigeria.

The ceremony was so beautifully executed that Biggie treated the housemates to a buffet of special delicacies after the ceremony.

Arising Emotions: Living with different people from different parts of the world will definitely evoke all kinds of emotions especially when you have to share space with them. This week saw a lot of arguments and misunderstandings from Khafi and Venita who had arguments over who plays a significant role. Venita had lashed out to Khafi over this issue.

Asides the issue of assigned roles, it looks like Gedoni had a lot to do with the fight, however, love found them after settling the fights in a me-to-you conversation.

Also, there was another friction between Cindy and Enkay, who had just joined the game recently, over rejection on who plays Ludo game. Cindy got her voice back after Venita and Tacha spoke to her while advising her to tell Enkay how she truly felt about the situation. So far in the game, they have been seen doing things together, but we can’t help but wonder how long this will last.

Lastly, who would have thought Mike could lash out at another housemate? There was a clash  between Seyi and mike during their wager preparation which they lost eventually. They made up eventually after team Cruisetopia had their warming meeting to their first failed task.

‘Show Your Talent’ Wager: Big Brother had asked the housemates to present a creative art and a talent show to win their wager for the week. As expected with good preparation time with the Icons, they pulled a great performance and worked together as a team. The Cruisetopia team were rewarded for good works but lost the wager which did not stop them from staying happy in the house.

Enkay, Venita, Elozonam and Joe were also given special recognition by Biggie for the effort put into the wager performance.

Friday Arena games: After a long day of eating and sleeping, The Tor Tiv, Seyi read out the instructions for the Friday Bet9ja Arena Games which required that the housemates create a group of three to carry out the task. The aquatic task was such a beautiful one for the housemates with the selected costumes given to them by Biggie but Team Three having Frodd, Esther, Mercy, Mike, Jackye and Ike won the task and won for themselves 100 bet9ja coins each making it a total of 600 bet9ja coins.

Which housemate will be leaving the house this Sunday? Will the housemates scale through in their chosen teams? How will the housemates cope in the house for the remaining days? Who will eventually be crowned the Pepper Dem Queen or King?
