Coronavirus: How Ooni of Ife saved Nigerians stranded abroad

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, saved stranded Nigerians in Canada and America by paying for a charter flight to bring them back home. According to the Nations report, it was gathered that the monarch and others paid for the flight scheduled for July 25.

He went ahead disclosed that the pandemic is a collective fight that requires support both at both home and abroad.

The Ooni said: “I did not think twice when they approached me for assistance to facilitate a charter flight for them. Many have been without their families for four months or more.”
