Coca-Cola is back again with another eye-catching campaign that is set to dazzle millions of Nigerians across the country. The company revealed it will be unveiling stunning wall murals across the country to highlight the unity and tenacity of Nigerians during the yuletide season.

Announcing its plans in a communique, the beverage giants, known for stirring and arresting marketing campaigns, stated its empathy for Nigerians as they wade through a period mired in numerous challenges.

The murals – which will be painted in Oyo, Rivers, and Enugu State – will celebrate the uniqueness within each region, with a specific focus on the people, the culture and the rich heritage of the region, while weaving a consistent thread of togetherness and unity within our diversity.

Helping the company bring this vision to life is the acclaimed Ayoola Gbolahan, whose work ”Blue Woman” is revered internationally; Kingsley Effiong, popularly known for graffiti art in Port Harcourt; and Perpetual Cyril, a budding artist in Enugu.

Commenting on the project, Nwamaka Onyemelukwe, Head of Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability, Coca-Cola Nigeria, referred to the murals as a brilliant initiative, pointing out their celebratory, reflective, educative and unifying qualities.

“Now more than ever, people need to find a lot of common ground and wins they can celebrate together. These murals are an exact depiction of that; they are a reminder of Nigeria’s rich history and diverse cultures, as well as the many things that bind the Nigerian people together,” she said.

While the year may have been fraught with challenges the world over, Coca-Cola recognises the strength of Nigerians and their hope for a better future. With the murals, the company is charging Nigerians to celebrate this hope and unity as a bright spot of 2020, and to hold on to it in the coming year.
