Mercy and Ike Season 1 Episode 11: “I have been looking at some ring options”, says Ike

Last week’s episode, Ike’s family had a meeting with him, and after much deliberation, they decided they would like to have a meeting with Mercy and her family.

This week, the couple lament on how the Covid-19 is harming their business as all the plans they have is now on hold. They’re exploring ideas they can implement to make money while at home.

Ike is on a call to Promise and informs her that he and Mercy are doing better in their relationship. But he would like them to go for therapy and see a professional and find ways to become better in their relationship. Promise shows her support for this and is very encouraging about it.

 

Ike has a visitor, Laffa whom he met through a mutual friend. They discuss a TV show where he would like Ike as the host. The show will be about reaching out to the less privileged, making certain contributions to them as well as home makeovers and renovations. This will be a different platform for Ike, and he is excited.

 

Ike is big on social media after his time at the Big Brother Naija house, the social media serves to promote his brand and make a new business contact. His friend Michael gives him tips on how to better grow his page. Ike wants to trend for positive things and what he is making of his life.

 

Ike and his cousin Pascal discuss the coronavirus and how worried they had been after his return from London. They also mentioned how there had been some rumour that he had been a carrier of the disease when he returned and attended the AMVCA.

 

Mercy and Ike have joined the Tiktok bandwagon which helps them cure the lockdown boredom. They agree to see a Therapist, they want to be able to talk through the challenges they are experiencing in their relationship and gain some professional advice. Ike most especially is looking forward to it.

 

Mercy speaks to her sister about the session with the Therapist and she’s supportive and hopes that things get better after the session.

 

Ike is ring fishing! “The bigger the ring, the bigger the love,” he says. But he has a budget and would like to stay within range.
