In a quest for glory, Otu beat 17 other contestants to take home the grand prize of N50 million. In the true style of a craftsman, he returned home to celebrate his wins as a true son of the soil.
Back by the Nigerian Breweries, the inhabitants of the capital city of Uyo expressed support for his programs on the tour that stretched three days: Friday, April 8 through to Sunday, April 10, 2022. The tour also became an avenue for them to witness his humanitarian side.
The radio tour was a launchpad for the rest of the activities tied to the homecoming tour. It introduced Otu to a vast number of listeners in the state which has a population of over 5.5 million people.
Although most listeners of the talk shows met him on the Gulder Ultimate Search reality TV show, the radio tours presented a more intimate side to him. Otu was warmly received by the top management staff of major television and radio stations in Uyo.
The tour also provided a window to discuss the impact of the beer brand in terms of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) to the community.
Visits To The Widow Of Zarephath Foundation
Established in 2004, The Widow of Zarephath has lifted thousands of widows by providing them with the much-needed financial and emotional support to help raise their families. However, the foundation can only do as much as the support it gets.
Understanding the vacuum created by economic instability, Otu, who was raised by a single mother, teamed up with the Nigerian Breweries to provide succour for the widows.
In a collective display of affection, the widows of the foundation stomped in joy and chanted energetically in acknowledgement of the help offered.
To celebrate the triumphant return of a true son of the soil, Gulder Lager Beer pulled out all the stops in assembling a mesmerizing venue to thrill guests. It is safe to say it was a bespoke experience for those who are well acquainted with the components of the show as the venue highlighted elements of the jungle through makeshift bar stands and scintillating lights that alludes to the starry nights.

With a stage to die for, coupled with the insane skills of DJ Neptune, the guests were taken on a musical ride that spanned many genres such as afrobeats, hip hop, house music, and more as they grooved into the wee hours of the night.
The party, however, wasn’t complete without an opportunity to make photo memories with the man of the hour alongside other dignitaries like Mr. Ini Akpabio, representative of the government of Akwa-Ibom state. The result? A trending occasion that took over major social media platforms.
Midway through, the homecoming party was paused for a raffle draw interlude that saw guests leave with exciting prizes such as washing machines, television sets, and many other exciting prizes.
