Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has smashed its box-office record by becoming the first film to reach 1 billion Naira in Nigeria, since its release in November 2022.
Disney announced a slew of Marvel superhero movies including two new “Avengers” films Saturday at Comic-Con, as it offered screaming fans an emotional first glimpse at its upcoming “Black Panther” sequel.
It is another win for Nigerian award-winning singer, Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, as she featured on the soundtrack for Black Panther 2 trailer. The trailer, released on Sunday, was soundtracked by Tems’ rendition of Bob Marley’s “No Woman, No Cry” and Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright”.
To commemorate the legacy of phenomenal Hollywood star Chadwick Boseman, who sadly passed away on Friday (28 August), M-Net Movies has acquired the rights from The Walt Disney Company Africa for a special screening of Marvel Studios’ Black Panther, the film that engraved his name in movie history – and in the hearts of millions of people across the globe.
No doubt, Marvel Studio’s blockbuster, Black Panther, has already notched several box office feats. The film received praise for its visuals, screenplay, direction, performances, costume design, production merits, soundtrack, and action sequences.
