    Why We Hiked Nigerian Applicants’ Visa Fees – US

    Nigerian citizens applying for United States’ visas will be required to pay a visa issuance fee, or reciprocity fee, with effect from August 29. The reciprocity fee will be charged in addition to the non-immigrant visa application fee, also known as the Machine Readable Visa fee, which all applicants pay at the time of application. The reciprocity fee is applicable for all approved applications for non-immigrant visas in B, F, H1B, I, L, and R visa classifications, the US embassy said in a statement in Abuja on Tuesday.

    Syria Hit With Chemical Attack Kill More than 49 people

    There have been international reactions over a chemical attack on a rebel-held town in Syria’s eastern Ghouta, linked with deaths of dozens of people. Washington and London said the reports – if confirmed – would demand an immediate international response. A joint statement by the medical relief organization Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) and the civil defense service, which operates in rebel-held areas, said 49 people had died in the attack late on Saturday.
