Our favourite Soul and Alternative artiste Jason returns with a new video to the amazing song- “Dependent”, as he reaffirms his subservience to the Most High in this emotive tune. His words: This song was birthed in a season of despair; when everything seemed to be failing. I was struggling to stand after doing everything I knew to do.
Jason is a Nigerian singer and song writer. He is one of the few people in this part of the country that does Soul and Alternative music and does it well. Jason’s unique style of singing is gotten from the many artistes’ works he has listened to and learned from, and this has gifted him with proficiency in other genres of music apart from the rhythmic neo-soul style which brought him to limelight. Nosa of Chocolate City fame is one of the notable influences on his style.
Jason – Oyigiyigi Jason is a Nigerian singer, song writer and voice coach.He honed his craft and passion for singing early on by joining his local church choir when he was only seven.He rose through the ranks and eventually managed the choir as Director of Music – a position he held for many years before he went on to university to study Law.
