MTV has announced that entertainment powerhouse Keke Palmer will host the 2020 MTV VMAs. This year’s screen breaking spectacle will bring together music fans worldwide and pay homage to the strength, spirit, and incredible resilience of NYC and its beloved residents. The VMAs will be simulcast live on August 31 at 00:00 WAT (Pre-show) & at 01:00 WAT – 03:00 WAT (Main show) on MTV (DSTV Channel 130) & MTV Base (DSTV Channel 322).
Following New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo’s Monday morning press briefing, MTV announced that the 2020 “VMAs” will return to New York City on Sunday, August 30th at Barclays Center. The Prudential Center in Newark played host to the 2019 MTV Video Music Award which saw Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande locked in a tie as the most-nominated artist with 10 nods each.
