    Obasanjo speaks on Alaafin’s death

    Former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, has reacted to the death of Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, the Alaafin of Oyo. Obasanjo described the late Alaafin as a symbol of the nation’s epic struggle in self discovery and self actualisation. According to him, the Oba was a fervent promoter of mutual tolerance.

    Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has advised Nigerians not to hand over the nation and democracy to people he described as ‘thieves and hooligans’.
