Naomi Osaka staged a brilliant comeback to defeat Victoria Azarenka and win her third grand slam title at the US Open. Azarenka picked up where she left off in her semi-final victory over Serena Williams and swept through the first set in just 27 minutes.
Naomi Osaka will go in search of her second US Open crown when she meets Victoria Azarenka at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows on Saturday on SuperSport Tennis Africa (09:00 WAT). Osaka defeated 28th seed Jennifer Brady 7-6 (7/1), 3-6, 6-3 to book her place in a second US Open final. The Japanese star defeated Serena Williams in the 2018 final and Azarenka overcame the 23-time Grand Slam singles title champion to set up a meeting with Osaka in New York.
