A simple and spontaneous light-hearted father-daughter banter between billionaire, Femi Otedola,

and his entertainer daughter, DJ Cuppy, has given

rise to an instant hit and a trend!

Gelato is a popular frozen dessert of Italian origin. It is generally made with a base of 3.25% milk and sugar.

It is generally lower in fat than other styles of frozen desserts

While on holiday last July, Otedola and his daughters had stopped by in Italy for some gelato,

the video of which DJ Cuppy excitedly posted online  as she normally does and bang!, it went viral.

There were mixed reactions online,  with some social media users showering her dad with accolades

for being so rich that he can go to Italy just

for ice cream. Others, told her to make a jam about #Gelato, and this was just the beginning.

That singular action by Dj Cuppy to post the video  made gelato a movement; it spurned countless rehashes,

memes and skits by established stars and social media influencers.

She enlisted the professionalism of street hop star Zlatan Ibile to make a song which they titled Gelato and it is an instant hit!

There is even a video circulating of Dj Cuppy and Zlatan Ibile doing the #GbekuDance with Gelato playing in the background.
