Tito Da Fire rekindles old memory with remix of hit track “Majekaja”

Nigerian music act,  Uduak Jedidiah Peters, otherwise known as Tito Da Fire has re-released his 21-year old hit, ‘Majekaja.’

In a recent statement, Tito Da Fire explained that the remastered version of the hit song will bring back memories and give fans a reason not to forget the singer’s contribution to the Nigerian music industry.

The song was recently released with a video. Tito D Fire, is a Recording Academy voting member, who released one of Nigeria’s Afro-fusion songs in 2003. ‘Majekaja,’ originally released in 2003, as a follow-up to “Seun Rere (It’s gon’ be alright), Tito Da Fire’s first single along with partner, Mickey of the duo Gent2Men spent numerous weeks at the top spot on numerous charts including MTN Nigeria Top 10 and was in the Top 5 of the Best 10 songs of 2003. ‘

The song also spawned several weeks on Rhythm 93.7Fm Top Ten and eventual Top 3 spot on 93 Best songs of 2003 on Rhythm FM Countdown, it also held a spot on the Top 10 on Ray Power FM’s 100 Best songs of 2003.

In Tito Da Fire’s words: “Majekaja remains a love and unification theme, that propagates oneness devoid of fights.”

Uduak Jedidiah Peters, popularly known as Tito Da Fire, is a Nigerian Afro-fusion singer, producer and song-writer and voting member of GRAMMY® Recording Academy who is charting his brand of Ganta-Music which blends Afrobeats, World music, Reggae, Pop and R&B fused with African percussions. He was a member of popular Nigerian Duo Gent2Men of “Ma Je Ka Ja” fame.

He started performing at high school gigs and was earlier influenced by Pop, R&B reggae and Disco music played by his mother while growing up in Ganta.

Tito Da Fire represented Nigeria on India Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s World Yoga Day June 2021 “Gratitude Song” which featured leading Indian stars and other international artistes. He followed up with Kokoro, a Dance smash in August 2021, while his 2019 sophomore album “One Kiss” Album featured Grammy Award winners Beenie Man and Wouter Kellerman, along with Nigerian Star 9ice, while his debut solo “Graduation Day” Album album featured rapper MI, and Harrysong.

The Presidential Villa, Aso Rock played host to Tito Da Fire’s performance in November 2021. The stage and crowd felt his passion when he gave a stunning performance to standing ovation at the Orbit October 2019 in Johannesburg South Africa alongside Wouter Kellerman and Ndlovu Youth Choir, and One Lagos Fest 2019 at Victoria Island and Agege.

Tito Da Fire was the 2020/21 Brand Ambassador of Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF).
