Singer Davido  is name-dropping! He says the biggest artistes when he was starting out, were big inspiration to him.

In a candid interview with Omega, award winning singer Davido revealed that his musical journey was fueled by the inspiration he drew from some of Nigeria’s biggest artists during his early days in the industry. Specifically, he acknowledged P-Square, D’banj, and Wizkid as key figures who motivated him to pursue a career in music.

Recalling his formative years, Davido shared that even before returning to Nigeria, he was already familiar with the work of Wande Coal, Wizkid, and D’banj. He vividly remembers being in the club scene, surrounded by the established icons of the time, including P-Square, D’banj, and Wizkid. Despite being relatively young, Davido felt a deep connection with the burgeoning music scene and aspired to make his mark.

Reflecting on that pivotal moment, Davido expressed his determination to contribute to the Nigerian music landscape. Although he couldn’t have predicted the immense success that awaited him, he recognized the potential and decided to start his musical journey early.
