Surulere 2 Constituency Step Out to campaign for Sanwo-Olu
Elections in Nigeria are usually highly contested and emotionally charged events. Nigerians have a long history of political activism, and the elections provide an opportunity for citizens to express their views and participate in the democratic process.
There is often a great deal of excitement and anticipation leading up to presidential elections, with citizens engaging in discussions and debates about the candidates and their policies. Many Nigerians view the presidential elections as a critical opportunity to shape the future of their country and to choose leaders who will work towards the common good.
At the same time, there can also be a sense of cynicism and disillusionment among some Nigerians towards presidential elections. Some citizens may feel that the electoral process is rigged or that their votes do not matter, particularly if they have experienced electoral fraud or irregularities in the past.
In recent years, there has been increasing concern about the role of money in Nigerian politics, with some candidates accused of using their wealth to buy votes and influence the outcome of elections. This has led to calls for greater transparency and accountability in the electoral process, as well as efforts to combat corruption and ensure that all citizens have a fair and equal say in the outcome of the presidential elections.
With all these in mind, the people of Surulere came out en mass to rally for the sitting governor of Lagos state Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the Ruling APC and actor turned politician, Honorable Desmond Elliot.
