The Big Brother Naija reality TV has returned with its tenth season themed tagged ‘10/10’ hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.
The new season, which started on Saturday, promises to deliver 10 weeks of thrilling entertainment and twists.
The opening night was spectacular, featuring an electrifying live show that introduced the audience to the housemates.
Here are the housemates and a few things you need to know about them.
1. Sonia Amako (Big Soso)
Sonia Amako, aka Big Soso, is a 28-year-old chef and lawyer from Kaduna who’s cooking up more than just meals in the BBNaija house. She’s on a mission to represent the strength and grace of Northern women, proving that tradition and ambition can go hand in hand.
Single and self-assured, she’s passionate about food, reading, travel, and counselling. Her hidden talents include braiding her own hair and cooking multiple large meals at once—sometimes in the middle of the night.
Soso says she’s a 10 because she’s funny, real, self-sufficient and kind. “I’m here to inspire, represent, and stay true to myself,” she says.
2. Precious Ashiogwu aka Dede
At 23, Precious Ashiogwu from Delta State is bringing her Scorpio fire to the Big Brother Naija house. A proud entrepreneur, she says she’s here for “the money, exposure, and plot twists.” In her words, “I belong in the spotlight—and I’ll get it.”
Bold and unapologetic, Precious admits her nonchalant attitude might rub people the wrong way, but she’s not losing sleep over it. She’s in a happy relationship, though she’s clear: “I have dreams to chase—and this is one of them.”
From losing her beloved grandmother to buying her mum a first home, Precious has seen both pain and triumph. Now she’s ready to show viewers why she calls herself “fierce, unstoppable and unbothered.”
3: Doris Okorie
At 33, Doris Okorie from Imo State says life’s gotten too routine, and she’s stepping into the Big Brother Naija house to “cause some not-so-innocent problems and bounce.” A trained actor with a flair for drama, Doris says she misses the chaos of her all-girls boarding school days.
Single and self-aware, she admits she’s picky, fiercely independent, and not sold on the idea of modern love. “Until I feel butterflies, I’ll stay single,” she says, though she still remembers a love-bombing ex from 2018 who left with her chain.
She’s known for being sharp-tongued and unapologetic. “If you go low, I’ll be in hell fanning the flames,” she says, recalling how she clapped back at bullies with a savage phone call review.
Her hidden talents? Cartwheels, flips, and sewing neat stitches despite her “thique” frame. And if you’re staying in her house, don’t break her rules, she’s a clean freak who doesn’t believe in “forgive and forget.”
“I’m creative, ambitious, and if you start with me, I’ll finish you,” she warns.
4. Nicole Simon-Ogan (Gigi Jasmine)
Known on stage as Gigi Jasmine, 31-year-old Nicole Simon-Ogan is an Akwa Ibom-born DJ with brains, beats, and boldness. She’s entering the Big Brother Naija house to expand her brand, inspire others, and prove that she’s more than just vibes and moves.
Single and open to non-traditional relationships, Gigi is a self-taught deck master who can DJ without headphones — relying instead on soundwaves. She also spent 15 years playing the flute. Her proudest moment? Spinning at her first international gig in Tanzania.
But she’s no stranger to hard lessons. She once said “I love you” for financial gain — a decision she now regrets and has grown from. And after giving deeply to the wrong people, she learned the hard way that not everyone has good intentions.
Still, Gigi calls herself a 10 because she’s smart, original, and forward-thinking. “I’m passionate about growth, culture and just being me,” she says.
5. Ibifubara Davies
Lagos-based Ibifubara Davies, 28, is stepping into the Big Brother Naija house to claim what she calls her rightful place in the spotlight. “I’m a superstar,” she says. “And every star deserves her platform.”
A trained psychologist with a flair for conversation, Ibifubara is known for her bold energy, sharp tongue, and love for rating salads across Lagos. “If I don’t find the perfect salad, I might just invent it,” she quips.
Single and self-aware, she believes love must be intentional. She admits she can be combative and pedantic at times — traits that have sparked heated moments in the past.
Her lowest point? Leaving psychology for tech — a decision she quickly regretted. But she bounced back, and now she’s ready to show viewers that people like her can be fun, fearless, and fully themselves.

6. Opeyemi Ayanwale (Imisi)
At 23, Opeyemi Ayanwale, aka Imisi, is ready to bare it all—no filters, no fronting. A fashion designer and actor from Oyo State, Imisi says they’re here to prove there’s more to them than just a pretty face.
Armed with confidence, sharp wit, and a habit of narrating house drama like a live commentator, Imisi plans to be their full, vibrant self. “People say it’s annoying, but deep down? They live for my commentary,” they joke.
Single and healing from a recent breakup, Imisi is taking things slow but remains open to real connection. With hobbies ranging from cooking and singing to gaming, they say their hidden talent is “reading a room like a pro” and turning awkwardness into humour.
“I’m a 10 because I bring good energy, I’m honest to a fault, and I’m not afraid to shake things up,” they say.
7. Esther Georgewill (Isabella)
At 29, Esther Georgewill, better known as Isabella, is stepping out from behind the Instagram filter and into the BBNaija spotlight. The Rivers-born entrepreneur says she’s “TV material” and ready to show the world the complex, soulful woman behind the glow.
Single by choice, Isabella is fully focused on her peace, her son, and her steady glow-up. Her hidden soft side? Writing unsent love letters and curating romantic playlists—though you’d never guess from her bold exterior.
A lover of herbal tea, dancing, and painting, she calls herself a “hopeless romantic in designer heels” with a wit that cuts when provoked. “I’m a rose with thorns—beautiful, but dangerous to mishandle,” she says.
Isabella is here to play the game, stir hearts, and leave a lasting mark—whether through her charm, her mystery, or her unapologetic flair.
8. Ifeyinwa Okafor (Ivatar)
At 37, Ifeyinwa Okafor, known as Ivatar, is proving it’s never too late to chase your dreams. A media personality and entrepreneur from Anambra State, she’s stepping into the BBNaija house to fulfil a long-time goal — and to make her 18-year-old daughter, a big fan of the show, proud.
Grounded by motherhood and wisdom, Ivatar is self-aware and unbothered by the noise. “I’ve learned to protect my peace — if you threaten my well-being in any way, I’ll cut you off… politely,” she says.
She admits to youthful mistakes — like trusting the wrong people and once saying “hate” to someone she loved. But today, she stands firm in growth, grace, and personal healing.
Hidden talents? “Still hidden,” she jokes. But with her confidence, charm, and life experience, Ivatar just might be the wildcard BBNaija didn’t see coming.
9. Josephine Iwoh (Joanna)
At just 21, Josephine Iwoh, aka Joanna, is stepping into the BBNaija house to strip away the performances and reveal the real her. The Benue-born fashion creator and entrepreneur says this journey is about embracing her complexity — “the raw, the crazy, the spontaneous” — and pushing beyond her limits.
A lover of salsa, kizomba, and quiet beach moments, Joanna brings a balance of fiery confidence and deep reflection. She’s single and intentional about love, seeking someone who values growth, independence, and shared vision.
Known for her punctuality and sharp comebacks, Joanna admits she can be defensive when misunderstood — but says her confidence shouldn’t be mistaken for arrogance.
“I’m a 10 because I take up space with presence, not noise. I bring depth, realness, and an edge that can’t be ignored,” she says.
10. Ayomide Iwasokun (Mide)
At 23, Ayomide Iwasokun, aka Mide, says Big Brother Naija is the perfect stage to unlock her star power. The Ondo-born entrepreneur sees the show as more than a game, it’s her launchpad into acting and self-discovery.
A self-confessed vibe and lover, Mide is single (for now) but admits she’s always caught in a web of relationships or situationships, trust issues and “too many options” being the main culprits.
She sings well but shies away from the spotlight. She’s also got a knack for spotting lies, which makes her unpopular with her friends’ boyfriends. “I’m always clocking people,” she says. “If it’s shady, I see it.”
From the pain of losing a loved one to the thrill of bagging a luxury item (and a degree), Mide has seen life’s highs and lows. But through it all, she remains a mix of charm and challenge.
“I’m a 10 because I’m not easily defined. I’m complex, warm, and real — and I love people,” she says.
11. Sabrina Idukpaye
At 32, Sabrina Idukpaye is stepping into the BBNaija spotlight not just as a contestant, but as a “layered woman” on a mission. Hailing from Edo State and calling herself a “Princess” by passion, Sabrina says she’s here to spark deep conversations, entertain, and leave an unforgettable mark.
A distinction graduate from the London School of Economics and the first in her family to bag a master’s degree, Sabrina is much more than meets the eye, she’s a storyteller, spoken word artist, actor, and former model who knows how to command a room.
Single and self-assured, she says relationships should feel like “purpose, not pressure.” She’s been called “too loud, too happy, too confident”, but to her, that’s a strength, not a flaw.
“I’m a 10 because I’m real, vibrant, and not afraid to take up space,” she says. “I bring grace, fire, and just the right amount of drama.”
12. Farida Sultana Auduson (Sultana)
25-year-old Farida Sultana Auduson Ibrahim from Adamawa State is bringing elegance, spice, and Northern charm to the BBNaija house. A plus-size model and beautician, she’s here to push her limits, connect across cultures, and show that Northern women are vibrant, complex and fun.
Sultana loves writing, cooking, and reflecting through her journal. She’s single and open to wherever love leads. “I believe in love, but I’m not rushing anything,” she says. Known to interrupt in conversations, she’s working on being more patient.
“I’m a 10 because I’m eccentric, impactful and full of life. I’m here to grow, connect, and shine,” she says.
13. Thelma Lawson
Thelma Lawson, 26, is a Rivers-born skincare consultant with the grit of a businesswoman and the heart of a survivor. A single mom still healing from deep loss, she’s here to win cash, gain visibility, and have a little fun while she’s at it.
Blunt and bold, Thelma doesn’t sugar-coat words, a trait that sometimes rubs others the wrong way. Her loud voice doesn’t help either, but she’s unapologetic about owning her truth.
From losing her mum on the day her son was born, to launching her second skincare store while in university, Thelma says, “I’m a 10 because I’m smart, independent, and business-minded. And yeah, I’ve got receipts.”
14. Uchenna Ekwe (Tracy)
Uchenna Ekwe, 27, aka Tracy, is hitting the BBNaija house with one mission: shake off the pressure and enjoy the ride. A graduate trainee from Anambra, she’s choosing fun, freedom, and risk over routine.
In a relationship she hopes is the real deal, Tracy says most relationships today are performative, but she’s rooting for hers. Often misunderstood as rude or snobbish, she says that’s just not true.
From a made-up story about her sister’s elite school to landing a trainee role in an oil firm after uni, Tracy owns her story with humour and heart. “I’m a 10 because I’m fun, emotional, and full of vibes,” she says.
15. Elizabeth Oloruntola (Zita)
Elizabeth Oloruntola, 24, from Ogun State, aka Zita, is the student, model, and content queen who plans to turn the BBNaija house into her personal confessional. Bold, sassy, and full of spice, Zita says she’s here to bring gossip, energy, and girly chaos.
A content creator with a flair for hair, makeup and chair dancing, Zita says she’s single, “intensely single,”, because she’s picky and men don’t help matters.
She’s quick to call things out, and while she doesn’t easily get out of character, when she does, she makes it count. “I’m a 10 because I’m chill but unpredictable. When I vibe with someone, it’s fireworks,” she says.
